2. Data Collected
The following data is processed when using Tippster:
- Email address and display name (upon registration)
- Tip data and group activities
- Technical access data (IP address, browser, timestamp)
3. Purpose of Data Processing
The data is used exclusively for the provision and improvement of the prediction game service (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR — performance of a contract).
4. Hosting and Third-Party Providers
The following services are used:
- Google Firebase(Google Ireland Ltd.) — Hosting, authentication, and database. Data is processed in the EU. Privacy Policy
- Cloudflare(Cloudflare Inc.) — CDN and DNS for website acceleration and security. Privacy Policy
- Firebase Performance Monitoring(Google LLC, USA) — collects anonymized performance data (page load times, network latencies, device and browser characteristics) and a pseudonymous installation ID after consent, in order to identify performance issues. Processing takes place in the USA based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Activation occurs exclusively after consent via the cookie banner (category "Statistics"). Privacy Policy
5. Storage Duration
Personal data will be deleted as soon as the purpose of storage no longer applies. Upon deletion of the user account, the associated data will be removed.
6. Rights of the Data Subjects
The following rights exist under the GDPR:
- Right of access to stored data (Art. 15)
- Right to rectification (Art. 16)
- Right to erasure (Art. 17)
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18)
- Right to data portability (Art. 20)
- Right to object (Art. 21)
- Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77)
7. Cookies and Local Storage
Tippster uses technically necessary cookies for authentication and session management. These are active without separate consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR).
Optionally, consent can be given to the statistics category. In this case, Firebase Analytics and Firebase Performance Monitoring will be activated. Both services store pseudonymous identifiers in local storage or IndexedDB and transmit aggregated usage and performance data to Google. Consent can be revoked at any time via the cookie settings (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR, § 25 Para. 1 TTDSG).

This privacy policy may be updated as needed. The current version is always available on this page.
