How do you create a betting round?
After registration, a new betting round can be created immediately and friends can be invited via a link.
What is the AI opponent in Tippster?
The Tippster AI is an algorithm that automatically participates in every prediction round and predicts results for all 104 World Cup matches. The goal is to beat the AI.
What is the dynamic prediction mode?
An odds-based game mode: Instead of fixed points, you get the odds of the correctly predicted outcome (1/X/2) as points — capped at a min/max value, plus a bonus for the correct goal difference or the exact result. Outsider tips therefore yield more than safe favorites. The odds can optionally come from the group's tips or from real bookmaker odds (frozen before kick-off). Whoever creates a prediction league chooses between classic fixed points and this dynamic mode.
Does Tippster work on mobile?
Yes. Tippster is a Progressive Web App (PWA) and works on any device directly in the browser — without downloading from the App Store.
Is Tippster also available as an app?
Yes, Tippster is available as an app for Android devices. However, as a solo developer, I cannot afford a MacBook, so there is currently no iOS app. All functions can also be used via the web app.
Can push notifications be activated?
Yes, reminders can be activated in the app under Profile. You will then be notified before the game starts if you haven't made your prediction yet.
Can I create custom bonus questions?
Yes. Anyone who creates a betting round or is an admin there can set up to 20 custom bonus questions before the tournament starts. Answer types: Free text, team, player, number or yes/no. The admin takes care of the resolution after the tournament ends — the correct answers are entered, and the system suggests suitable matches from the participants' tips.
Is there a chat in the tipping game?
Yes. Every tipping game has its own real-time chat — with @-mentions to address others directly. Anyone who creates a round or is an admin there can also completely disable the chat for each tipping game.
How can an account be deleted?
Directly in the app under Profile → „Delete Account and Data". For security, your own email address must be typed in, then the account and all associated data will be irrevocably deleted. For questions, tippster@landvogt.consulting can also help.
